Amy Cornwall Neal was a business leader from her home and her family’s cattle business and supported cultural preservation of Arizona’s History. She worked as a Harvey Girl before she married John Neal in 1910. After her marriage, she decided she wanted to preserve her local culture and was involved in the establishment of the Mohave Museum of History and Art. She was also involved in many community and women’s organizations. She was elected to be president of the women’s cattle organization, the Arizona Cowbelles, and supported the Arizona Boy’s Ranch near Chandler, Arizona. She also served as a member of the state Welfare Board. Later on in life, she raised awareness of social issues for the elderly. A retirement facility in Kingman is named in honor of her care for seniors.
